Terms of Service

Welcome to flüf.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using flüf. They’re in three parts:

• Part A applies to everyone, whether you’re browsing our website or using the flüf app.
• Part B applies to the flüf website (flufapp.com).
• Part C applies when you create an account and use the flüf web app (app.flufapp.com).

flüf is operated by flüf Technology Ltd (“flüf”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17049219. Registered office: 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA.

By using the website or the app, you agree to these Terms.

Part A

1. Who can use flüf

You must be 18 or older to create a flüf account or use the flüf app. By creating an account, you confirm you’re at least 18 and that the information you give us is accurate.

2. flüf doesn’t provide veterinary advice

This one matters, so we’ll say it plainly.

flüf is a pet wellbeing companion. We help you build a complete picture of your pet’s life, and we share general information based on things like breed and life stage.

flüf is not a veterinary service. Nothing on our website or in the app is veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We’re not a registered veterinary practice, and we don’t employ veterinary surgeons in a clinical capacity.

Always speak to a qualified vet about any concerns you have about your pet’s health. Never delay seeking veterinary advice because of something you’ve read on flüf. If your pet has a medical emergency, contact your vet or an emergency veterinary service straight away.

3. Acceptable use

We’ve built flüf with care, and we ask you to use it the same way. You agree not to:

• use flüf for anything unlawful
• try to gain unauthorised access to flüf or its systems
• interfere with or disrupt how flüf works
• use flüf in a way that could harm flüf, other users, or their pets
• upload content that’s false, misleading, offensive, or that you don’t have the right to use

We may restrict or suspend access if these Terms are broken.

4. Our content and your content

Everything we’ve made — the flüf name, branding, design, written content, and software — belongs to or is licensed to flüf Technology Ltd. You can use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify it without our written consent.

Everything you add — your pet’s records, photos, notes, and memories — stays yours. By adding it to flüf, you give us a limited licence to store, process, and display it so we can provide the service to you. That’s the only reason we need it.

5. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep flüf running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may update, change, or remove parts of the website or app at any time, and we’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll let you know, for example by email or a notice in the app. The date at the top always shows the current version. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop using flüf and delete your account at any time.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, flüf Technology Ltd is not liable for:

• loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided on flüf
• veterinary costs, treatment costs, or other losses arising from decisions you make based on information on flüf
• technical issues, interruptions, or errors
• loss of data, except where caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Third-party services

flüf uses trusted third-party services to operate and may link to other websites and services. We’re not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Our Privacy Policy lists the providers who process data on our behalf.

8. Privacy

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

9. General

If part of these Terms can’t be enforced, if any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Only you and us: these Terms are between you and flüf Technology Ltd. No one else has rights under them (and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 doesn’t apply).

If flüf changes hands, we may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example, if flüf is acquired. We’ll always tell you if this happens, and it won’t reduce your rights.

Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

Part B — The flüf website

11. What the website is for

The website (flufapp.com) lets you learn about flüf and get started with the flüf app. The website itself doesn’t require an account and collects minimal data; see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for the details.

Part C — Your flüf account

12. Creating an account

To use the flüf web app, you’ll need an account. We ask for your name and email address, plus your pet’s details to start their record. Keep your login details safe; you’re responsible for activity on your account, unless it results from our failure to keep flüf secure.

13. Your pet’s record

Your pet’s record is built from what you add: health details, routines, behaviours, milestones, memories, and everyday moments. You’re responsible for keeping the information you add accurate and up to date. flüf stores what you give us but doesn’t independently verify it.

14. Sharing your pet’s record

You can share selected parts of your pet’s record with carers, sitters, family members, and vets. Here’s how sharing works, because your control matters to us:

• Sharing only happens when you choose to create a share link.
• Anyone with the link gets read-only access. They can look, but they can’t change anything.
• You choose how long the link stays active.
• You can revoke a link at any time, and access ends instantly.
• Share links include selected pet information only. Your own personal details aren’t part of what’s shared.

Please only share links with people you trust, and remember that anyone holding an active link can view the pet information in it.

15. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. When you do, your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, including a short grace window in case you change your mind, after which everything is permanently erased.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your use of flüf is harming others or the service. Where we can, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

16. The service is free at the moment

flüf’s app is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we’ll update these Terms and let you know clearly before anything changes. You’ll never be charged without agreeing to it first.
